Our Foundation
The Dark Woods Foundation is a UK registered charity (charity number 1208146), established with the aim of promoting sustainable development in the UK and in lower-income countries.
Founded in 2024 by Dark Woods Coffee – a speciality coffee roaster based in West Yorkshire – the Foundation builds upon their long record of supporting social and environmental projects both locally within West Yorkshire and internationally within coffee growing communities.

The Foundation receives annual core funding from Dark Woods Coffee, as well as administrative support, ensuring that we can fully focus resources and energy on supporting communities.

Rooted in Community
Based in West Yorkshire, Dark Woods Coffee has built strong relationships within the local community over many years. The Foundation continues this tradition, focusing particularly on the Kirklees region.
